I knew that it was just behind that 4-story Victorian
building, since I traced it on a tourist-friendly map given to me earlier.
As I turned at the corner, I paused, looked up and
took a deep breath of the cold Florentine air.
The magnificent Duomo de Firenze or The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore stood
firm before me beautifully lit in all its corners. And its gigantic dome seems
to hover above it.
